Chaplain David Herrington was a guardian on Honor Flight Mission 26 on June 7, 2016. These are some pictures of David and his WWII Veteran.
Denny King, Vietnam Veteran, had the honor of being a guardian of Dick Barney from Sebring, FL, on the October 20, 2015 Honor Flight.
On September 22, 2015, Tony Gula was involved with “Mission 23” Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Tony volunteered to be with WWII Veteran Julius for the day.
Tony wrote the following:
This is Julius my Vet for the Honor Flight. He is a young 94, Widower, but full of Life.
By way of the Internet, and text, we managed to get his family from Silver Springs, MD, to come to the WWII Memorial to visit with him for our brief time there. The Mission was flawless, not one problem, everything on time, Probably because of the Pope visit, he insisted on good weather.
I can’t say enough on how well the Honor Flight Organization handles the entire operation, from orientation, to departure, to our overwhelming return.
If there was one, there was 500 people there to greet these guys last night.
At the start of our trip, we were 160 service members and guardians.
By the end of our trip, there where 160 new friends.
Tony Gula
